Real Madrid has identified the Celta Vigo striker as one of the options to fill the void left by the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and have agreed terms with the forward, according to reports in Spain.
Cristiano Ronaldo put an end to his long nine-year spell at Bernabeu after the Portuguese signed a record deal with the Italian side Juventus in July. The departure of the Superstar has left a big gap in front of the goal and the Los Blancos haven’t found any replacement for the former United man.
Ever since the departure of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Real Madrid has been linked with a lot of big names to replace Ronaldo. The likes of Harry Kane, Neymar, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe, all have been linked with a move to Spanish capital, but the rumours didn’t end well for the whites.
The new Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui fancies the signing of Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno. However, the Valencia President made it clear that the Spaniard is not for sale unless someone pays his €120m release clause.
Real Madrid thinks Iago Aspas as the alternate to Rodrigo if the Valencia striker fails to sign for the Whites. Express via El Chiringuito de Jugones has claimed that the Spanish giants have agreed personal terms with Iago Aspas, but haven’t talked with the Spanish side Celta Vigo.
After a horrible spell at Liverpool, Iago Aspas has proved himself with the La Liga side. The 31-year old striker has been the main man for Celta side as the Spaniard has scored 67 goals in 126 appearances. With the quality of service at Bernabeu, the Spaniard could solve Real Madrid’s goalscoring dilemma.
Real Madrid would like to add more firepower to the squad if they wish to win some accolades without their Star man Cristiano Ronaldo.
