Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has informed La Liga giants, Real Madrid, that he desires to leave the club next summer. According to the Daily Record, the Portuguese superstar has requested the 12-time European champions to reduce his asking price to a relatively affordable £89 million, in order to attract attention from clubs.
The 32-year-old star has been speculated with a move away from the Spanish capital, even after signing a new deal with the Los Blancos in November 2016.
However, Real Madrid have set the release clause in Cristiano’s contract at a whooping £887 million, as Ronaldo’s agents are requesting the club to lower that price, in order to attract attention from former club Manchester United and long-time suitors, PSG.
The relation between Ronaldo and Perez is reported to have strained, as the former wants a move away from the club.
The 5-time Ballon d’Or is reportedly frustrated by Perez’s decision of not increasing Cristiano’s basic pay after a successful 2017. The 32-year-old’s basic pay is slightly lower than Neymar and Lionel Messi, of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona respectively.
Cristiano Ronaldo is contracted with Real Madrid until June 2021. However, his time at the club could be over way before that, with PSG and Manchester United willing to fulfill his sky-high demands.
