Real Madrid have set their eyes on the Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports in Spain.

Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Los Blancos have been linked with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard and Robert Lewandowski. Amidst the rumours of a Galactico signing, the Ligue 1 striker has emerged as a transfer target in the summer.

With Neymar and Mbappe committing their future with PSG and Chelsea stubborn not to leave Hazard, the European champions have turned their attention towards the Uruguayan, who is capable of scoring as many goals as Ronaldo, something he did in last season.

The Uruguayan striker scored 40 goals in 48 games last season, which speaks for his talent in front of the goal. According to AS, Real Madrid are preparing a bid around £100m for the PSG striker.

The Uruguayan international likes the idea of finishing his career in Europe, more generally in Spain. As a result, the prolific striker would be tempted to join the men in whites if Real reaches to the striker.
